1. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never visible to us.
- Seller profile: if you are granted seller access, your display name, WhatsApp number, contact phone number, bio and logo.
- Vehicle listings: vehicle details, photos, price, location, mileage, and battery and range information you choose to provide.
- Reviews: the star rating and written review you leave for a seller, and any report you make about a review.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, including enquiries about our escrow services.
Information collected automatically
- Session data: when you use the website, a session record is kept on our server that includes your IP address and browser type, so that we can keep you signed in and protect your account.
- Visit statistics: we record which pages are viewed, the page that referred you, and the time of the visit. To count unique visitors we store a one-way scrambled code derived from your IP address and browser. We do not store your raw IP address in these statistics and we cannot use the code to identify you.
2. How we use your personal data
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To review, publish and display vehicle listings, and to mark them as sold.
- To let buyers contact sellers by WhatsApp or phone.
- To publish seller reviews and ratings, and to moderate reported reviews.
- To arrange optional escrow and related services when you ask us to.
- To respond to your enquiries and send you service-related messages, such as password reset emails.
- To keep the website secure and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Information that is shown publicly
Some information is published on the website by design:
- Sellers: your display name, WhatsApp number, contact phone number, rating, reviews and the vehicles you list are visible to all visitors, so that buyers can reach you.
- Reviewers: your name is shown next to any review you write.
Please do not include personal information in listings or reviews that you do not want to be public.
4. Who we share your personal data with
- Escrow and related service providers: only when you request an escrow or add-on service, we share the details needed to deliver it with the relevant providers, such as banks, financing companies, insurers, inspection centres, JPJ and other authorities.
- Service providers: companies that host our website, store our data and send our emails, under obligations to keep your data confidential.
- Authorities: where we are required to by law, by a court order, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- Business transfers: if our business is reorganised, merged or sold, your personal data may be transferred to the new operator, who will be bound by this policy.
5. Third-party services
When you tap a WhatsApp button you leave our website, and WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation. Our pages also load fonts, icons and scripts from external content delivery networks, and our contact page shows an embedded Google Map. These providers may receive your IP address and browser information when your browser loads their content.
6. Cookies
We use only cookies that are needed for the website to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a security token that protects forms against forgery, and an optional "remember me" cookie if you choose to stay signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep your personal data
We keep your account and seller information for as long as your account is active. Listings, reviews and records of transactions may be kept after that for as long as needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements. When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect your personal data
We take practical security measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, restricted access to our systems and regular review of our safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date;
- withdraw your consent, or ask us to limit how we process your personal data; and
- delete your account at any time from your profile page.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may charge a fee for access requests where the PDPA allows. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to provide some services to you.
Providing your personal data is voluntary, but if you do not provide the information marked as required, we may not be able to create your account, publish your listings or respond to your enquiries.
10. Children
Our services are intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use our website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
